We are proud to share that Leilei Cui has received the ECE Best Doctoral Thesis Award, a well deserved honor recognizing exceptional research and academic excellence. Additionally, congratulations to Tong Liu and Sayan Chakraborty for receiving the Li Publication Award in recognition of their outstanding contributions to scholarly publication. Well done to all three awardees on these significant accomplishments.
The Control and Network (CAN) Lab is led by Professor Zhong-Ping Jiang and consists of about 10 people. Research activities in the CAN Lab mainly focuses on the development of fundamental principles and tools for the stability analysis and control of nonlinear dynamical networks, with applications to information, mechanical and biological systems.
A central theme of our current research is mathematical control theory , system optimization problem, together with its engineering application as nonlinear ship control, chaos synchronization and control, Internet congestion control, target detection, image fusion, dynamic traffic assignment, power and energy systems, systems physiology, and bioreactors. Extensively, we collaborate with other faculty members and graduate students in power lab, control and robotic lab at NYU-POLY and with other research institutes. Our current funding agencies include National Science Fundation (NSF) and Center for Advanced Technology in Telecommunications (CATT).
